The 71st Joseph Henry Lecture
The Cholesterol Myths
Uffe Ravnskov
Independent Researcher
About the Lecture
Conventional wisdom says that animal fat and high cholesterol are the most important causes of cardiovascular disease. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, this hypothesis, the diet-heart idea, has been disproved by an enormous amount of scientific studies. Yet, its supporters maintain the idea by ignoring or misquoting all contradictory evidence and by defying the rules of logic, the most important instrument of science.
