Electric Propulsion for Space
Spacecraft engines for the next era
Benjamin A. Jorns
Professor of Aerospace Engineering
Director, Plasmadynamics & Electric Propulsion Laboratory

About the Lecture
This lecture will discuss electric propulsion for spacecraft, from gridded ion and Hall thrusters through high-power and emerging plasma concepts, how the principal systems work, why they trade thrust for efficiency, how power, lifetime, plume interactions, and spacecraft integration shape the engineering, and where the field is headed.
