About the Lecture

This lecture will discuss why the Moon’s far side is uniquely valuable for low-frequency radio astronomy, including its shielding from terrestrial radio-frequency interference, observations that cannot be made from Earth, the cosmic “dark ages,” solar and planetary radio science, and the engineering of large distributed antenna arrays on the lunar surface.
